چکیده

Background Costovertebral (CV), costotransverse (CTr), sternoclavicular (SC) and manubriosternal (MS) joint involvements may be in spondyloarthritis (SpA). However, the radiological clinical characteristics of these need further assessment. Objectives In this study, we aimed to determine CV, CTr, SC, MS SpA patients. Methods patients (searched from hospital data-processing system according ICD-10 having M07 (enteropathic arthropathies), M45 (ankylosing spondylitis (AS)), M46 (other inflammatory spondylopathies) and/or M48 codes) who have been requested a chest computed tomography (CT) for any reason between January 2010 December 2020 included retrospective cross-sectional analysis. Chest CT reports were reviewed, SC or involvement attributed accepted as positive involvement. Demographic/clinic data including smoking status, disease (duration, drug history, Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI), Functional (BASFI), Metrology (BASMI) other related parameters) at time scan collected analyzed. Results After confirmation diagnoses among 1700 patients, total 339 study. 244 diagnosed with ankylosing (AS), 66 psoriatic arthritis (PsA), 14 enteropathic arthritis, 13 peripheral SpA, 2 non-radiographic axial SpA. According reports, number changes joints on thoracic 44. Of 42 AS (95,5%), 1 PsA (2,3%), (2,3%) 39 9 5 joints, 3 CTr affected. Costovertebral and costotransverse joint involvement in rheumatoid arthritis.

Lesions of the costovertebral (CV) and costotransverse (CT) joints are distinctly unusual in rheumatoid arthritis. The patient presented had dramatic changes in these joints with destruction, ankylosis, and bony overgrowth. This led to a moderate respiratory impairment and a distinctive radiological presentation.

Symptomatic manubriosternal joint involvement in rheumatoid arthritis.

The manubriosternal joint is commonly involved in rheumatoid arthritis but rarely gives rise to symptoms. A patient is reported with seropositive, erosive rheumatoid arthritis, who developed symptoms resembling pleuritic pain, arising from synovitis of the manubriosternal joint. Treatment with intra-articular steroid injection resolved these symptoms rapidly.

Pathological Findings of Osteoarthritis in Sternoclavicular Joint

Background: The sternoclavicular joint (SCJ) is the only synovial articulation between the upper extremity and the trunk. This joint is one of the most frequently used joints, so osteoarthritis (OA) should be very common. However, there are few studies about OA in this joint. Methods: In this study, 48 sternoclavicular joints from the left and right joints of 23 cases and two left joints from t...

Management of Perinatal Testicular Torsion: A Single Centre Experience

Perinatal testicular torsion (PTT) is a rare entity. The management of PTT is controversial, due to the low viability of the testis and the possibility of bilateral torsion. This is a review of our experience with six cases of PTT, highlighting diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties of this condition.

The movement of the manubriosternal joint is said to be a significant factor in respiration. The incidence of fusion of the manubriosternal joint in necropsy cases has been investigated with fine detail radiography. In over 600 cases, fusion of the joint was found in 14% a...
